After approximately eight months of intense dispute between the American company “Celebration TV America” owned by the Nigerian Apostle/ Johnson Suleiman, a preacher, spiritual leader, and the General Overseer of the “Omega Fire” Ministries International, and “Alkan Air” of Egypt, one of the leading aircraft maintenance companies in the region, owned by the prominent businessman and economist Eng. Khaled Nosseir, concerning the completion of maintenance work on a private jet owned by the American company, this dispute has finally culminated in reaching a final settlement agreement, which was signed on Thursday, March 28, 2024.


This significant moment was documented under the supervision and patronage of His Excellency the Nigerian Ambassador in Cairo, Minister Plenipotentiary/ Adesoye Samotu, who participated in formalizing this agreement at the Nigerian Embassy located in Zamalek. This reflects the international importance of this settlement and the diplomatic role His Excellency played in reconciling the perspectives of both parties.


The signing ceremony was attended by a select group of representatives from both sides. Mr. Francis Ibomor represented Celebration TV America and its owner, Apostle/ Johnson Suleiman, alongside attorney Dr. Tamer Ragy, the Chief Executive Officer of Ragy & Partners Law Firm – Attorneys & Counselors at Law LLP (“RPLF”), who provided steadfast legal and consultative support throughout the dispute. RPLF’s esteemed Partner attorney Mr. Moamen Nagah and the esteemed attorney of RPLF Ms. Heba Abdel Fattah were also in attendance.

From Alkan Air's side, Eng. Hussam Elabhar, the Chief Executive Officer acting on behalf of Chairman Eng. Khaled Nosseir, attended the event. He was accompanied by esteemed attorney Mr. Marwan Eissa, a partner at Eldib & Co., who provided vital legal and consultative services to the Egyptian company.

The agreement was signed amid an atmosphere filled with cordiality, optimism, and mutual respect, reflecting a sincere desire to turn the page on past disputes and move forward to strengthen the bilateral relations between them, with an eye towards a future characterized by cooperation, transparency, and mutual understanding.

Both parties have declared their unwavering commitment to fully adhere to the terms of the settlement agreement, particularly the agreed-upon timeline for the American company to provide the necessary spare parts, and for the Egyptian company to fulfill the maintenance tasks as stipulated in the agreement and also to securing the necessary FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) license in the United States of America and the CRS (Certificate of Release to Service) for the aircraft, thereby concluding the disputes before the Egyptian court, the FAA, and any potential disputes within relevant international arbitration courts and organizations.
